Pin Trading Tips at Disney World.

It’s that time again friends another helpful money saving tip for your Disney vacation. Just a disclaimer before you read this helpful tip guide I am not by any stretch of the imagination a Disney Pin expert. This is strictly a post helping parents give their children an exciting activity at a fraction of the cost. With that being said I hope you enjoy. Disney pin trading began during the 1999 Millennium celebration and has become a favorite pastime of both hard core collectors and young Disney novices alike. This can quickly become an expensive hobby as pins range in price at Disney on site gift shops using a color code system. Green and Silver pins are $9.99 while the Blue and yellow pins are $12.99. Lastly the Pink pins are $14.99. Not exactly an inexpensive way for your little ones to enjoy their Disney Experience .Tip 1… Look on Ebay before your trip for a lot of 10-25 pins at a reasonable price. I’ve seen most lots of these sizes go in the neighborhood of $20-$60 compared to well over $200 in Disney gift shops. Reminder your buying these pins for the purpose of trading so of course your young one will not get the exact pins they are looking for. ( I’ll pause here for the hard core collectors to voice their disapproval about the so called “scrapper pins. , which are factory seconds and product overruns.) Again this is for the enhancement of the Disney experience not to pass down these pins for generations to come.

Tip 2…. Arrive early to the parks and head to a Disney pin trading location. The best pins are available at the beginning of the day. Tip 3…. Keep an eye out for cast members holding pin boards, simply ask “can I see your pins “. Disney has a 2 pin trade maximum so choose wisely.

Tip 4…. Ask to see the pin binder at any Disney Deluxe class resort. Which Disney resorts are deluxe class you ask.

* Disney’s Animal Kingdom * Disney’s Beach Club * Disney’s Boardwalk Contemporary * Disney’s Grand Floridian * Disney’s Polynesian Village * Disney’s Wilderness Lodge * Disney’s Yacht Club * Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin

Tip 5…. Look for secret pin locations such as the treasure chest located at Agrabah Bazaar in Adventureland at Magic Kingdom. Chapeau Hat shop also located in MK ask a cast member to see their pin hat. At the Big Top Gift Shop ask a cast member to see the popcorn.

Tip 6 …. Here are the current trading spots at each park. Magic Kingdom : * Main Street Emporium * Space Mountain Merchandise Shop * Briar Patch. (temporarily closed) * County Bounty * Town Square Exposition Hall * Sun ‘n fun cart * Frontier Trading Post * Fantasy Faire Gift Shop * Memento Mori Epcot * International Gateway * Pin trading central store Hollywood Studios * 5&10 store * Pin Drum at Rock n Roller Coaster Gift Shop Animal Kingdom * Discovery Trading Post * Africa Pin Station * garden Gate Gifts Disney Springs * Disney's Pin Traders

Tip 7…. Be on the lookout for Disney’s new pin trading mystery boxes. Trade a pin in order to open one of 24 drawers , with a pin inside . Your stuck with your choice so choose wisely!

Thanks Have fun trading!!
